9. Use of Cookies.
a. The CanadianRVT website uses “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a small piece of data in the form of a text file sent from a web page server and placed on your hard drive. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
b. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to track your activities on a website (e.g., pages visited, links clicked on, etc.) and record information about your use of the website so that when you return to the site, customized features can be provided. For example, a cookie helps the CanadianRVT Sites recall your specific information on subsequent visits when you sign in to the Sites. This simplifies the process of recording your data for continuing education, course, product, or coaching access.
c. You can accept or decline/disable cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to reject or disable cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not fully experience the interactive features of the CanadianRVT services or websites you visit.
11. Social Media and Third-Party Websites. CanadianRVT uses social media tools and websites to interact with its customers and resource partners (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.). Social media websites are used to publicize CanadianRVT programs and services and engage with public members. CanadianRVT does not use third-party websites to solicit and collect personal information from individuals. Any personal information collected by a third-party website, except Apple Inc.’s App Store and Google LLC’s Google Play Store (where CanadianRVT Mobile Apps are or may in the future be sold), will not be transmitted to CanadianRVT unless required for law enforcement purposes or as otherwise permitted by law. CanadianRVT’s privacy and other web policies do not apply to these third-party sites, and we encourage you to read the third-party site’s policies when deciding whether to use it.
